Keirsten attended Berry College for her undergraduate program, receiving a degree in Psychology in 2012. She knew she would eventually become a counselor, but did not rush into graduate school post college. Instead, she spent a year abroad visiting 11 different countries and cultures, and upon returning state side she wanted to start a career in the creative fields. In 2015, she started her own videography business and pursued a creative career until her admission to Richmont Graduate University in 2021. She completed her masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2025 with internship experiences at Lee University and Partnership for Families, Children, and Adults Chattanooga. From college until completing graduate school, Keirsten’s background and variety of experiences help compliment Keirsten’s approach to people. She has personally experienced that people are not of one shape, color, size, culture, or context, rather they are complex, dynamic, and ever-evolving.
Keirsten has a passion for working with people struggling with grief, the effects of trauma, and relationship issues. She works with clients from ages 18-100 (or even higher!) with issues related to trust, relationships, domestic abuse, trauma, and overcoming grief. Whether its divorce, relationship betrayal, struggling to stay in a relationship, recovering from domestic abuse, the experience of relational loss. If you’re struggling with overcoming grief of a lost dream or loss of a loved one and feel you have no where to go, Keirsten is here to to help you navigate heartbreak, confusion, and loss (on all relationship levels) and find a path through the pain to become a more resilient, healthy, and a whole person.
Together, we will identify what hurts and how to find healing. Through a somatic-informed approach Keirsten helps clients work with their bodies and minds in tandem to help express, release, and work through the “stuck” parts of themselves that are caught in trauma and pain. If you find yourself in a situation that is causing you immense pain, you’re probably experiencing grief in some way. Put simply: it’s loss. Loss of hope, loss of a dream, loss of love, or even loss of self. Keirsten walks with clients through all the levels of grief. She likes to
think of herself as a “grief doula” who helps usher those in deep psychological and emotional suffering out into a new life of hope.
