Anna earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in May of 2023 and has completed the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Foundational Training (Psychwire 2023). She became a member of the American Counseling Association in 2022 and participates weekly with the DBT consultation team at Wise Mind Collective.
Anna has led and co-led the DBT skills class at Wise Mind Collective since 2023 and is now currently running our DBT-informed grief group, which she developed using Rando's grief model and select DBT skills. She completed internships at The Middle Path co-leading intensive outpatient (IOP) DBT skills groups and Henegar Counseling Center working with individuals. Anna has experience working with people experiencing anxiety disorders, mood disorders, grief, challenging life transitions, and interpersonal difficulties.
Anna’s therapeutic approach integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Person-Centered Therapy, complemented by insights from attachment theory, to create an environment for exploration and growth. She believes deeply in the power of therapy as a safe space where clients can navigate their inner worlds, develop coping skills, and cultivate self-compassion. She believes self-work is about fostering the resilience to explore and tend to invisible wounds, embracing personal and interpersonal growth along the way.
